Spring has Sprung?

Today on the way home from the Gym (As I looked at the 3M grounds for Ground hogs) it occurred to me, spring is indeed here. While the calendar told me that last week, it really doesn't mean much. The real signs are there, the Mustang Drive-In opened last weekend; Cedar Point is putting there trains back on the tracks (51 days till they open); my dad just picked up a Canoe and a kayak which I look forward to taking out a few times this spring and summer. Spring is one of those things that makes you stop and think about what the next few months will bring to you, I have to plan what I am going to plant in the garden this year, and take the opportunities to get outside and enjoy the weather when it allows. So while it isn't time to hang up the winter coat yet, soon it will be and I look forward to that day!

Visit to Mom And Dads

Yesterday, I went to visit Mom and Dad and to take them both out to Costco, to do some shopping. I got to drive there New Ford F-150 truck crew cab which was much nicer to drive than I had expected, and over all I was impressed which was a surprise for me.

We managed to spend almost 900 bucks at Costco which was pretty impressive to me, but we did buy a tonne of stuff. As per the usual at Costco they gave us a hard time at the till since my parents aren't members and after the hard time, my mom said she wouldn't join.

Dad is looking to pick up a kayak and a canoe, to do some boating this summer, and I am really looking forward to spending some time with him out on the water, I remember doing it with him as a kid and I had forgotten how much I really enjoyed it as a child. I was a Sea Scout for a few years, and did a few trips up and down the creeks and such with my Dad as well. If I enjoy his kayak as much as I think I will I may pick up my own so I can use it at the conservation area around the corner. If Curt enjoys it as well I may pick up a canoe instead so we can go out together.
